Queen Elizabeth and Meghan Markle make first joint trip without Prince Harry

Meghan Markle in off-the-shoulder pink outfit

"What is your preference?" she asked the Queen.

After they arrived Thursday, the royal duo visited the Storyhouse theater and met with locals in nearby Chester, including some adorable wee British subjects. The Duchess opted a chic cream dress which featured flared sleeves. (Her favorites include the Jay Pump and Emma, which are back in stock!) Cinch the waist with a thin leather belt and an envelope clutch just like the 36-year-old brunette.

It's not the first time Meghan has replicated a Diana look - at her first Trooping the Colour ceremony on Saturday, she wore a dress which beared an uncanny resemblance to a dress Princess Diana wore in 1987.

The pair headed north of London, England to Cheshire, where they helped open the Mersey Gateway Bridge on Thursday (June 14).

They were greeted as they arrived at Runcorn station, where Meghan said: "I'm very happy to be here".

The Duchess and the Queen were there to open the new Mersey Gateway Bridge, a £1.86 billion ($2.5 billion) road crossing over the river Mersey.

The pair appeared to be getting along well with several video clips showing the two chatting and Meghan smiling during the engagement.

The FBI can not lawfully make that determination, even if the FBI Agent, in this case Comey, was previously a DOJ prosecutor. Comey is not the only high-profile Obama administration official whose actions are expected to draw criticism Thursday.

Meghan is expected to curtsy to all royals of a higher rank to her, which includes the Queen, the Duchess of Cornwall and the Duchess of Cambridge. "The caped shoulders restricted her arms and she lost some of her more natural movements".

Cohen handed in her notice last September, but it has been reported she has agreed to stay on as interim private secretary.

Members of the public handed the royals flowers as they shook hands and said hello.

Today also marks the anniversary of the Grenfell Tower fire, which claimed the lives of 72 people, and Markle and the Queen took part in the minute's silence to remember and pay respects to the victims.

According to The Sun royal reporter Emily Andrews, Buckingham Palace revealed the earrings were a from Queen Elizabeth, contradicting earlier reports that stated Birks supplied the pearl earrings.

Also notable? Meghan is reportedly the first of the younger generation of royals to nab a ride on the royal train for an official outing with the queen.
