Britain to request extradition of suspected Novichok attackers from Russian Federation

Police officers stand on duty outside Sergei Skripal's home in Salisbury Britain

The UK government has not yet made a decision on the preparation of the request for extradition of two Russians suspected of involvement in the incident with poisoning as a Novice in Salisbury.

The report comes after it was revealed last month that investigators believed they had identified the suspected perpetrators of the attack and were sure they were Russian.

But the extradition request is expected to be rejected by Russian Federation, the paper added.

The Guardian reported that the decision to press for extradition follows a debate within the government, which was divided between those who want to ratchet up London's response to Russian Federation over the incident and those who see the request as a futile political gesture.

The move was reciprocated by Moscow.

Months later, a 44-year-old woman and a 45-year-old man, both British nationals, were also found poisoned, probably after accidentally coming into contact with a container used in the attack on the Skripals.

Dawn Sturgess subsequently died from Novichok near Salisbury.

A geophysicist and volcanologist, Gerst also worked as a volunteer firefighter while in school, according to his ESA biography . As for the severity of the golden state's fire season, that's attributed to the warming climate , not environmental laws.

The Crown Prosecution Service prepared the extradition request and is ready to file, according to the Guardian.

"We do not trust such unverified bogus media reports at all", the embassy said. Russian Federation refused to extradite the suspects even after Litvinenko died from polonium poisoning in London. "It's nearly a rerun of the situation", The Guardian quoted a government source as saying.

Whitehall sources told the paper that authorities had identified two people they were ready to put on trial.

The Russian constitution forbids the extradition of Russian citizens to another state.

Russian officials refused to hand over suspects who Britain claimed were responsible for the murder of Aleksandr Litvinenko with a rare radioactive isotope in 2006.

Police think the novichok was sprayed or smeared on their front doorknob with a perfume bottle. Later, Sturgess died in the hospital, the other victims were discharged after treatment.
