Huawei founder speaks out about daughter’s arrest

Huawei founder says company would not share user secrets

Ren Zhengfei, the Founder of famous tech company from China, has denied concerns which mention that the company could be sharing its users data with the Chinese government.

Ren, who joined the party after leaving the People's Liberation Army, stressed the potential for cooperation with the United States and Trump's administration. He added that Beijing had never asked him or his company to share "improper information" about its partners.

Ren said he loved his country and was a member of the communist party.

"For President Trump as a person, I still believe he is a great president", he said, according to CNBC. Even Apple, a wholly American company, has surrendered some of its data to Beijing in exchange for a physical presence in its territory.

Huawei is facing heightened scrutiny as phone carriers prepare to roll out fifth-generation technology in which the company is a leading competitor.

Asked about the arrest of his daughter Meng on a U.S. extradition request, Ren said that he missed her, and he trusted the legal systems of the United States and Canada. But Ren seemingly wanted to convince President Trump that targeting his company was completely unnecessary.

Huawei shortly after fired the employee and said the allegations had nothing to do with the company.

"He dares to massively cut tax, which will benefit. business", he added. "But you have to treat well the companies and countries so that they are willing to invest in the us and the government will be able to collect enough tax", he said.

China might just have grown the first plant ever on the moon
Until this experiment, the researchers said they weren't sure it was possible to grow plants in a low gravity environment. For example, potatoes serve as a good source and can make rapeseed oil which is similar to canola oil.

But he said the use of the company's products by state entities could be reviewed. Analysts say this was vital to win USA security approval for a $26 billion deal for its T-Mobile US unit to buy Sprint Corp.

He said there was "no evidence" of Huawei equipment posing a threat to any country's critical infrastructure, and claimed he would deny any requests from Beijing to access its clients' sensitive information.

"Huawei has served 3 billion customers in 30 years in 170 countries, and has a good safety record. So long as we can feed ourselves we'll always have a future".

The USA, Australia, NZ, Japan and some other governments have imposed regulations on the use of Huawei technology over such concerns.

The US Commerce Department has opted not to renew export licenses for Futurewei Technologies, Huawei's R&D facility in Silicon Valley, according to a January 10 report in The Wall Street Journal. Meng Wanzhou, Huawei's chief financial officer, has been under arrest in Canada since the beginning of December on an arrest warrant issued by the USA for possible Iran sanction violations. She was accused of helping Huawei get around USA sanctions on Iran through fraudulent shell companies.

Ren said he'll wait and see if the president will intervene on behalf of a Huawei executive detained in Canada.

President Donald Trump has yet to confirm a date for her extradition.

Huawei founder Ren Zhengfei has said his company would rather shut down than damage the interests of customers for its own gain.
